OK so it's not

Need a "home run hitter" / big play running back. Bullock goes down way too easy. Big hole and he runs up through large hole and someone trips him. I think Canzeri would have done better.

Bullock dances way too much. He tries to make played that aren't there.

I think you are wrong on your last two.

The play calling was better in general when compared to last year but still there were way too many bonehead stupid calls.

Iowa does not, nor will it ever attract the caliber of talent needed to make the greg davis offense work.

It's not Rudock

It's not the WR's

It's not the OLine

What is it?

Complete lack of pass rush.

Our safeties are terrible.

We only have 1 decent corner.

O-line needs to hold blocks longer.

Bullock does to much dancing around. He needs to pick his hole and hit it.

Poor, overly conservative play calling.

Attitude. Lack of killer instinct.

Slow d-line is a problem. No explosion and thus no pass rush.
The safety play was some of the worst I can remember. They seem to have non athletic players at two spots where you need athletes, DE and Safety. It didn't help that Lomax and Lowery both got hurt.
I was somewhat pleasantly surprised by the O. Aside from the glaring non use of the TEs and some questionable play calling.

I blame the secondary. All three of their TD's were from passes of 20 yards or more to freakin' wide open receivers. I get that Lynch is really good but that still stings, especially because the d-line did a good job containing him.
