I agree and have called the number three finish as well. This is a breakout year as we gain a year of experience with a lot if players, we gain a couple players, and two if our best (whitey and marble) take it up another notch. Not to mention a couple big teams lose players. This is our year.

I think this is really disrespectful. You said, and I quote, "I hate ESPN". I don't think it was inappropriate to infer this means you refuse to ever watch ESPN, but it was inappropriate to insult him twice for taking you at your word.

As I stated, in the post I should have clarified that I would watch Iowa games but not the rest of their stuff. My bad, I should have done that. But in all, I don't really care what you find disrespectful. If Jon wants to ban me for calling him a name then so be it, but at least I didn't judge a 17 year old kid for how he handles his business.

Back on topic... I don't know that Iowa "rises" much from last year based on win total. In fact, I think they may have less or same amount of wins as last year but being their SOS and RPI will be significantly improved they have much better chance of making NCAA tourney by picking up more quality wins and more quality losses too.

This schedule is going to be tough and 18 wins wouldn't be bad. It would still be good enough to make tourney. Depending on who they beat of course.

You called me disrespectfully for a post that had nothing to do with you. I have been going back and forth with section136 for the past 8-9 months just joking around with stuff. Plus it reminded me of "Ghost" a former poster on here who used to jump on and troll posters for things in their posts that was an oversight and wasn't clarified specifically.

As for the Ross P. thing, I don't understand why you would consider me disrespectful over my post to someone else that doesn't involve you when you openly judge a 17 year old kid that you don't know in any way.

If this team wins 18 games this season it would be extremely disappointing.

As far as me "judging" a 17 year old kid, I think "judge" is a pretty strong word. I am certainly critical of him, and I absolutely do not feel that it is inappropriate for a grown man to criticize the poor decisions of a child. I don't think I have attacked his character in any way, and if I did, I would certainly agree that it is not appropriate, but I still stand by what I said, you either commit or not. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

If you wish to continue on THAT topic, let's move to the appropriate venue, and free up this space for discussions on the basketball team.

First off, you responded to my post to Section136, my beef was with Section136 and you joined in by calling me disrespectful. I merely explained why I had a beef with him that involved "Ghost" like posts.

There is a fine line between judging and being critical. Do as you want, just stating my opinion as you did.

F.Y.I. - he can apparently have his cake and eat it too because, well it's happening.

Don't start something that can cause an off-topic conversation and then when I respond ask me "move to the appropriate venue", you started it, not me. This was another point I made in my response to your post in the Ross P. thread, your tone is extremely condescending. Don't expect people to be nice or respectfully when you act all high and mighty all the time.
