Will all the players be back next year?

With May the only senior on the squad. I have heard some rumbleings about maybe some players transfering. Some players will be losing minutes to Jok and Utoff. What's everyones thoughts that all these guys stick around. We had a 10 man rotation this year. I dont see Fran having a 12-14 player team.

Ingram would be the only player I would even consider could be thinking about a change of venue. Not that I am advocating anything like that.

Just been hearing the cupboard might be a little over stocked, for all of them to see the court.

It is and it should be...Iowa will have a full roster for the first time in how many years? Young players not playing is a good thing unless they are really good. Iowa is out of balance but after next season some spots open up. Unless there were some unreal individual expectations of playing time I don't see why anyone would leave.

I agree. He was rated higher as a recruit than Clemmons was and didn't play much. I don't want him to leave but he probably should have been red-shirted this season and I could see him looking elsewhere.

Players that aren't going to transfer:

Gesell - no way, starter on a big10 team
Woodbury - no way, starter on a big10 team
Marble - no way, starter on a big10 team and leading scorer
White - no way, starter on a big10 team
Basabe - no way, starter on a big10 team
Uthoff - not in a million years.
Olaseni - 99% certain he isn't going anywhere. If any 'contributors' were to leave he could be the only one that I could see as people seem to think he is going to redshirt.
McCabe - he will be a Sr. No way
Jok - incoming freshman
Meyer - coming off redshirt year. If he transferred he would go 2+ years without playing a game. No way.

Those that I could see transferring due to potential lack of playing time.
Clemmons - athletic as hell but has the mental focus of Cully Payne
Ingram - will not play significant minutes at Iowa

Clemmons would be dumb to leave. He is the back up PG, gets good minutes and there is not a PG coming in in the next class.

Clemmons has shown flashes and unless they bring in some stug PG, it will be him and Gessell sharing that role.

I agree he does a lot of dumb things at times, but he quick to the hoop. I think he'll stick around and be a good one.

You missed one that is on peoples mind.

Why would JO transfer? He shot 37% from 3 last year and 26% this year, but continued to see minutes and even started a couple games. Fran continued to let him shoot even though he didn't hit much. I wouldn't be sad if he did transfer, but why would he? If he does, he's going to a smaller school, possibly lower division.

I suspect someone is fabricating things to get a thread started.

I do think Ingram might redshirt next year, I think he would have a great chance for getting minutes the following season. Watching him on the bench during games, he sure looks like he's happy to be here. Having quality guys like that to practice against makes a huge difference too.

Not making up anything. Just a lot of players with only 200 minutes to go around a game. It has to be on some of these players minds. If none do transfer, some of these players will see a lot of pine time.
