Steve Kerr during the OSU/MSU game said that Iowa won the basketball game last night for 34 minutes, but MSU won the football game the last six minutes. Pretty much sums it up.

Refs have no effect on the game guys. None whatsoever. Any one who disagrees with me in the slightest is an idiot.

I don't think it didn't have an effect, it just isn't the sole reason. That is what is so idiotic to me, saying it is the sole reason..
If Iowa was a better team the ending wouldn't have matter because we should have been up 20+, that is how bad MSU was last night..
When a very good bball player like Kerr who has seen it all and been in it all says that on national TV he is trying to make a point.
I believer Kerr and my own eyes rather than you.
In last nite's game I couldnt believe they call a foul on one play where it looked like the guy climbed over basabes back. But after the reply even thru my hawkeye tinted glasses I can logically say that yes basabe moved or stumbled under the guy who was already in the air.
It wasnt the sole reason but in such a close game and when msu was mauling the hawks during their comeback the refs were a predominant reason. When you add multiple turnovers that could have been called fouls and several defensive plays by Iowa that were called on Iowa which were not, the biggest of which were Nix's travel which turned into a three point play and white's clean block which lead to two free throws, then the refs clearly had a major impact on the game.
I loved Kerr's comment and completely agree with it. At the same time Iowa, not the refs, are to blame. If you don't want to lose, don't turn the ball over, don't give up dunks from 6'0 PGs over a 6'7 PF that get the other team fired up. Run the offense and work to get good shots, don't let your dunks get stuffed, foul or no foul.

I watched fat **** nix take an Ohio state player out. Cracked him over the head and slammed him to the ground on a fastbreak, no call. I turned the channel immediately. So disgusting to watch.

Then you missed them call a foul on a three that was way less contact then marble got on the last shot and then Ross drew a foul underneath the hoop jumping into a guy which again was way less blatant than marbles. So they are improving

No one is saying it's the sole reason, but it absolutely contributed to our loss yesterday. I don't see how anyone can disagree with that who actually watched the game.
