How much NCAA Tourney butthurt is there right now?

Not that much yet. If we have 20 wins or more, a winning record in the big, and we don't dance, then there will be some butt hurt. But if said situation develops I will think of all the much worse things in our world and butt hurt wil disssapate.
 








Jon.. please lose this post... it's worthless, tasteless, not funny, not creative and the poster should be banned until after April.
 


It never ceases to amaze me how this board can take a young team that is exciting to watch, winning games and exceeding all expectations and turn it into an obsessive whining complaint session about "not" making the tournament.

Frankly, no one expected this team to make the NCAA tournament this year. And yet, we are in the discussion. Other positives:

1. We will win at least 20 games for the first time in a long time.
2. We defeated all of the in-state rivals and captured the "mythical" state title.
3. We have a very good chance to finish in the first division of the Big Ten.
4. We will, in all probability, play in a major post-season national tournament (NIT)
5. We have all but one player coming back next year, and 2 excellent recruits

This season has been a huge success so far

Omg, you are right. We need to have more threads where we all agree with each other.

Dammit, we have not had legit tournament talk in idkhowmanyyears. Let us have some fun!

Probably right, it is a success in some ways. I never thought Iowa would be this close to making the tourney. Gessell is going to be one heck of a player for yall in the future. Woodbury I don't buy it yet but 3 years from now who know's. Franny has you guy's pointed in the right direction though and no one can argue that. I still don't see you guys making it this year but who know's.

Whether or not they make it to the tournament won't change my view of the season. Their improvement in defense and rebounding has been extremely impressive, especially playing so many freshman and sophomores. I think our shooting will improve next year with MG getting even better and Uthoff and Jok coming on board, and maybe even JO bouncing back. I didn't have NCAA expectations going into the season, I just wanted to see continued improvement and I have seen that. Next year will be tournament or bust.
