Whar activerodent?

Not scared of nothing fella, just getting back from the game.

This was expected for all of the reasons that I stated prior to the game. This was probably Iowa's biggest game in years, they had a week to prepare, we were coming off of a emotional and physical game vs. Indiana and it's a Big Ten road game. Add it all up and you get what you got, which is pretty much exactly what I called prior to the game. I was at both the Indiana game and the Iowa game. Both atmospheres were lively but Assembly Hall has to be the toughest/loudest place to play in the BIG and that was comparing it on an average night for them.

I think the real barometer of how these teams stand is what happens on Tuesday. If Wisconsin beats MSU then we are probably only tied with Michigan and Indiana at the top of the league. If Iowa loses to OSU then a lot of the capital from this win goes away and you are 2-4. Same if Wisconsin loses to MSU, a lot of that capital from beating Indiana at Indiana goes away but we are 4-2. I like our position quite a bit better.

You like your position better? I'd sure as hell hope so at this stage, Wisconsin has played Nebraska and Penn st, that's the difference. ******.

No not at all but you are what your record says you are. Our record says we are 4-1, yours says you are 2-3. This season teams are expected to lose on the road as there are about 2-3 "gimmes" in the league. The rest could go either way on any given night.

It's pretty obvious that this game is to Iowa their "Super Bowl". What can you do on nights where it isn't free pizza night or the emotional anniversary of something?

God you are a ******* turd. Typical idiot Wisconsin fan. Gloating pulling one out of the fire at home against Penn state and putting 47 up against Nebraska. GTFO.

and a struggling Illinois

Combined conference record of opponents:

Wisconsin - 5 wins 16 losses
Iowa - 18 wins 7 losses

You are missing the point of what I've been saying for weeks. To win this league, to compete for NCAA tournaments, to be even in the discussion, then teams MUST win their home games or certainly more than .500 at home. No one thought (myself included) that Wisconsin was going to go undefeated in the league. We picked up 2 road games so far and have protected our home court. Because of that we are in the thick of things.

Nice win last night but it doesn't take anything away from my larger point that it comes down to what a teams record is, their strength of schedule and who they have beaten. I'm not comparing Wisconsin to Iowa, I'm trying to win a BIG title and advance to the dance again. That is the goal in Wisconsin. In a year where we lost our starting PG a week before the season, we are doing just that.

If Wisconsin ends up being a "bubble team" then that means Iowa still has very few chances to pick up resume wins. If we fall back to the pack then beating Wisconsin isn't that for you.

You're trying to win a big 10 title? Wisconsin won't either. The only reason that game got close is because Iowa quit running their offense to sacrifice clock. Had Iowa kept attacking thats a 20 point beat down. Get some athletes, it's embarrassing.

What was the special occasion when Iowa won at the Kohl Center last year or in Minneapolis? Iowa's Super Bowl??? Only butt hurt fans of losing teams use that excuse.

No one disagrees that you are what your record is...

but there is a wee bit of difference between starting the conference with Indiana, Michigan, and MSU as opposed to Penn State, Nebraska and Illinois.

Now, don't get me wrong, I find it very unlikely that Iowa finishes the conference season with a better conference mark than Wisconsin. Badgers already have a win at Indiana. But it does matter who you play as to what your record is.

It wasn't Iowa's "Super Bowl," or whatever that is supposed to mean. Do you mean it was Iowa's Super Bowl because the team played hard? Iowa played plenty hard in the earlier losses to Indiana and MSU, Hawks just didn't play well enough to win those games.

You forget, Iowa won that game last year in Madison because all the fans were out in Pasadena getting ready for the Rose Bowl.

I wasn't there... was it pizza night at Kohl when we *****-slapped you last year in Madison?

Yeah, I think Iowa headed into this season trying not to win the regular season conference title, that would be typical Fran McCaffery thinking.

Your point is and always has been is you believe Wisconsin is and "elite" program, which they are far from. I like the fact that you did pick Iowa to win the game, but it doesn't take away from your ideologies that Wisconsin is a better program than you believe.

Bo Ryan is a good coach, I get that and you want to be proud of your team. Here is the problem, Wisconsin is a good program, not great, average throughout their history. It has been a good run and I don't see a huge downswing for Wisconsin, but I don't see them ever being considered one of those teams that will win a National Championship. Not to say they can't go to a Final Four, but definitely not a team heading into the season to be spoken as one of those to win.

There is a lot of programs in the Big Ten that are young that still have a lot more upside than Wisconsin in the next couple of seasons. Iowa/Purdue are two that I can think of, but don't dismiss Illinois moving forward, it will take time to get the Weber out of that program, but there is still a lot of talent and Groce is recruiting well already.

It took Michigan one recruit, in Trey Burke to leap Wisconsin and I don't see Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan State falling off anytime soon.

I don't care that Wisconsin beat Indiana, I don't think Indiana will finish lower than Wisconsin either. This will be the best chance for Wisconsin to keep that foothold and not drop below fourth at the end of the conference season. Enjoy it now as I think that gap is closing rapidly and it may not be too long before Wisconsin falls a few pegs in the conference.

When I read your posts, it seems like you aren't very old and have only been watching Wisconsin basketball, or been paying attention to is since Bo Ryan has been there. In that time Iowa has went through a lot of change and their conference play has suffered from it. Times are very much changing.

I can see why your screen name is "sportstalent" and not "brevitytalent"

I first started to post "too long didn't read LOL" but I always read your poasts so I couldn't really do that
