Iowa offers '16 G Jerry Myles

Myles has yet to play a game for Davenport West, but he already has a pair of major conference college offers. His first was from Iowa State, and today he added an Iowa offer.
 


6'4" and listed as a PG on rivals. I saw a couple you tube videos where he was dunking as an 8th grader.
 






Under "similar players" Rivals lists another guard from 2016, Max Heidegger, who appears to be about eight years old and looks like a cross between the pitcher from Rookie of the Year and the kid from Solarbabies.

That is the funniest thing I have seen on here in a long time!! That kid looks like he could still be peeing his pants in class!
 


Has anyone from the QC area had a chance to see Myles play this year? According to Quik Stats Iowa, Myles is averaging 12.5 PPG, 3.8 APG, and 5.2 RPG. How has he looked this year?
 








I went to the Assumption vs West game on Friday night. Jerry was getting very frustrated with the double team. He did not impress me in the least in this game. For being a point guard, he did not do anything spectacular at dishing the ball. There was also a couple attitude problems on this team, and Jerry certainly was one of them. I left not impressed and disappointed in him.

Really. I expect more out of a 14 year old.

Who won the game and who was the better team going in?

It would be no surprise to see him struggle and get an attitude during the game.

He is a kid and a freshman playing against a D1 caliber PG, West is where Lohaus goes, right?

Keep giving that insightful input to what his strengths and weaknesses were though, I appreciate it.

Lohaus goes to IC West. iowachief is talking about the Davenport Assumption vs. Davenport West game. Jerry Myles plays for Davenport West.

Thanks, wasn't sure who he was playing against, what is the rundown on the matchup, who was the better team and who won?

Assumption beat West 68-36. West is 5-6 on the season and Assumption is 8-4. Assumption is led by a pair of really good seniors in Matt Vandehaar and Billy Daniel. I'm not terribly surprised that Myles didn't play well against them.

Thanks, since I moved from Iowa, I don't know who is good or not anymore in high school ball.

Have you seen Myles play?
