Get over it. We lost to a mid major on a neutral site. Badly. They are still a mid major not to the stature of Gonzaga or Butler yet. In the past few years, you could sub UNI for WS. Now UNI is down. What has changed for Iowa?

The comment was in re to losing to a highly ranked mid major. Same results. Nothing to see with losing badly to a mid major. NIU was the highest rated Mid Major football team if you recall. They got smoked against a real team. If you could read you would know I've said the team is improved. May not result in more conf wins, but improved.

Your point is dumb. Look at the best Mid Major teams over the last 5-10 years. Just off the top of my head Gonzaga, Butler, VCU, Davidson made it very deep run. UNI knocked off a #1 seed, Mid Majors playing in the NC game, Mid Majors making Sweet 16's each year, Mid Majors making Elite 8's final 4's.
If you think that the best Mid Majors are terrible, you just don't know college BB.

WS is way over rated though (now my serious side). We are bragging about being equal with Drake. Guess that is an improvement after all given the last several times we played da daogs.

When did anyone say anything about bragging about being equal with Drake? If you can't see that Iowa has gotten better since playing Wichita State then that is on you.
The whole point of the post was that Wichita State is a good team, you can disagree that is fine you are entitled to an opinion but not many people agree with you.
Stop talking down to people like you know everything and everyone else is stupid.
I find it hard to believe you are really a hawk fan considering most of your posts are arguing against anyone who says anything positive about Iowa. I know you don't like it when people call you a troll but I think you need to realize why they call you that.

It has to do with perspective. Some of us are old enough to have lived through parts of the 70's of fans...back when fans were looking for any sign of life. HF and LO changed all that. As long as fans are content with mediocrity, then it will stay that way (mostly talking football). Like it or not, the verdict is still out on Fran. Don't want to see another 10 year deal yet on Fran.
As far as talking down, there is a dif between fun and talking down. Some of you are way to serious about looking for positives.
I don't know everything, my kids will tell you that.
Do think there is going to be a lot of people upset about how the basketball season goes and wanting to go crazy mad or something. Fact is they are improved and improved greatly. There are still major issues with this team. Didn't know boards had to be serious and only see positives.
A few (3) of you use the word Troll so much you are also acting like others are stupid and only you know best. You should stop talking down the same. Using that word is pretty lame. Earlier you et al would use it when anyone would disagree. So I've gotten a bit more direct about some of my opinions.
That said, I'm still not impressed with losing to WS by 12 and the game wasn't that close in reality.
We aren't really going to know much for about 3 more weeks. Actually not until the end of the season.
And I do know what I'm talking about in re to speed issues whether you like it or not. Mentioning elicits the big T word from about 3 of you. Its ridiculous frankly. And now I am talking to you. Before I'm just giving it back.
