1. Retained Greg Davis so he has more time to implement the winning offensive schemes he pilfered from Texas
2. Made sure the backup quarterbacks had a great vantage point and lack of distractions to watch a truly effective veteran signal-caller at work
3. Ran off an alleged pothead, opening up a scholarship to give to another four-star RB
4. Bought more gum
There, that's four. It's going to be a great 2013 campaign.

Not sure if serious but Leshun Daniels isn't a 4 star RB but I think he might be able to do better in the Iowa offense than Garmon since he is more of the tradional Iowa RB that KF wants to use.

American Express used to allow members who held multiple accounts to combine each card's Rewards points so they could get bigger things. Wonder if HN has something similar for alts and viesels?

3. Missouri State is usually worse than UNI
4. The Gophers recruited about as bad as Iowa
5. The Spartans usually kill Iowa the next year after losing to Iowa. But the games in IC this time

7. NW, Wisky (new coach) and UM are at home. Might be able to win one of those
8. The qb's who weren't good enough to take a snap in 12 have a lot of experience watching "what not to do at qb"
9. KF will likely not say "that's football" again.

11. W Mich is worse that C Mich
Lot's of room for optimism, little of which rests with the Hawks directly.
The negative: We don't play Illinois. ISU and Nebby hate us worse than we hate them.

5. He dropped the "f" bomb on a reporter, so now he really has anger and passion.
So this DEFINITELY will not be a crap team in 2013.

I hear returning a dominate offensive line back to full strength, and a running back that rushed for 100+ against the best defense in the Big10 is a terrible thing to build a team around.

I hear returning a dominate offensive line back to full strength, and a running back that rushed for 100+ against the best defense in the Big10 is a terrible thing to build a team around.

I've thought about this question since I read it earlier today. I honestly have NOTHING to list in regards to the last 6 months.
Now in the last year, I commend him for bringing in some young, energetic assistant coaches (even if one of them is his son). I think that decision was excellent and will pay off in the next few years.
I'm still not impressed with the game day coaching decisions.
I'm horribly disappointed with the lack of development on offense last season.
I don't appreciate his attitude when he is asked the tough questions....questions that he brought on himself.

The rushing game will only work next season is teams start to fear the passing game. Maybe not against teams with lesser talent but they won't beat any teams with a decent to good defense.
Nothing wrong with being positive about next season but you have to realize there are flaws to this obvious reason you seem to think Iowa will be good next year.

Is that why a back capable of rushing for 1500 yards in a season--yet not good enough for a scholarship from mr observant--was rotating at fullback until the second half of the 3rd game of the season and didn't play RB until mr observant was forced to play him due to 42 injuries at RB? Master planning and talent recognition there from the $4,000,000 man! lol
