next is Ravellings 3 year total of 55 wins
and 26 BT wins
Frans #'s 38 win's with 12 BT wins
will Fran do it maybe not but he won't be far off when this season is done..
Ravbelling took over with LUTES recruits just coming off a sweet 16
 




with BT tourney and possible post season invite anything is possible
2 more OOC games that leaves just 15 more wins to get in the rest of the season

Well, an easy three wins in the BoneG tourney and at least three in the tournament, and now all Francis needs is 9 wins in conference. He'll get that blindfolded.

true, i didn't consider that we'll win all those games post-season ;)
 


I'm sure Herby will post Iowa's roster to remind us how good everyone is and how easy it will be to get 17 wins.
 






Iowa will win more than 9 games in the BT, never said he would catch or pass Ravelling, just he was next on the list of prior coaches, Ravellings last season had 2 wins in the dance,
that is unless you have absolutely no faith in Fran..
 


He could tie ravelling if he can get 11+ wins in the b1g this yr (not including the b1g tourney). That will be a tall order in this conference. He could do it but it will be tough. I think iowa will win 10 in conference and then he will end up 1 or 2 short of ravelling all dependent on how many they can win in the tourneys.

it sure is funny how some of you can turn this post into a statement of Fran will pass Ravelling
and to think of what Fran started out with what Ravelling started out with.. its intrigueing to think of just how close he actually os to catching him in year 3
sounds alot like the DBL DBL post that people can't prove or refuse to try

Raveling had 54 (13, 21, 20). So 16 away...will be 14 away once Big Ten starts...win 10 in reg season, two in tourney and two in post season? Possible, I'd still take the under this year. But as someone pointed out, Fran took over for the worst era of Iowa basketball while Raveling took over from arguably the best Iowa basketball coach of all time and a program that had been to a final four just four years prior and had been to four straight NCAA's.

They will just have to accept a 39-1 record now! ha,ha...

IU's roster was not as good as this years roster in those past meetings either. I don't think Iowa can play a run and gun game vs IU but Iowa could beat them at Carver.
