Feeling less confident about NCAA tournament hopes

since Iowa only has 9 road games left, all against BT team, that will not hurt Iowa that much
1-1 nuetral site
0-1 on the road, all they need to do is hold their own at home
UNI will be at a nuetral site, so they have a chance to end the OOC at 11-2, with a 2-1 NS record, 0-1 on the road and 10-0 at home
with road games at Purdue, PSU and Nebraska, there is a good chance to get 2 road victories. to get Iowa to a possible 21-10 regular season record,

also the last time Iowa was undefeated at home the entire season was 2005-06, and if I am not mistaken it the only time since Carver has been open that a Iowa team went undefeated. long way to go to get there. but tou can't get there without going undefeated at home in the OOC games.

Iowa will not go undefeated at home this year.

Iowa only had one game where a home loss would be OK and they won that game last night. With the rest of the scheduled teams they have zero excuse to lose a home OOC game.

And I don't expect Iowa to go undefeated at home. I was thinking Iowa would win 19-20 games this year and Nothing has changed my mind. I was expecting Iowa to lose 3 games in the preseason.

They won't but Indiana is the only mega power they play at home. Beat them and they'd have a one percent chance of doing it. Of course Iowa still plays Michigan State, Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota within Carver. I'd take splitting those games.

This time last year we had no good wins and 4 losses (one to Campbell) and somehow we were semi on the bubble at the end of the year. If Iowa can weather the B1G storm and somehow get 9 to 10 wins and a conference tournament win it is going to be hard for the selection committee to keep this Iowa team from dancing.

We were not on the "Semi-bubble" last year. Not even close. We were the last team selected for the NIT.

They were on the NIT bubble!

I'm starting to wonder if we're not going to make it just because the Big 10 is too good. There just may be too many losses because we play so many good teams in conference. It's SEC in football good right now.

After the Wisconsin game last year some experts were saying that if Iowa would win out the rest of their regular season games and took 2 or 3 conference tournament games than we would have been in. That was in late February. So in late February Iowa had a chance to play its way into the tournament even with it's awful non-conference play.

Not even close? I remember a lot of people were mentioning Iowa as a bubble possibility after the 2nd Wisconsin game. That quickly burst after losing at Illinois and then after losing at home to Northwestern.

Indiana at home will be a test
MSU Fran and Lick both beat them at home with far less talent. tossup
Wisconsin Iowa swept them no reason to think Iowa will lose at home to them
PSU Iowa should win this one
NW Iowa should win this one to stop the homecourt losses
Minnesota a split
Purdue split
Nebraska nuff said
Illinois tossup
no reason to think this team can't go undefeated at home, and the youngster are improving every time out.
if not for poor shooting from 3 Iowa may have beaten VT and the ISU game would not have been close
in the WSU game Iowa was 4-31 from 2 and a little used center had a career game against Iowa
