No let's hope they get fired and the ADs at these schools go out and get coaches that can boost the Big 10's credibility on a national level. Rich Rodriguez, as much as we may not like him, has done this. If basketball is any precedent, Minnesota clearly is willing to go get a top name coach to try and change the mentality. It may not lead to Iowa beating these teams more, but when Iowa does beat them, it will mean more.

Amen to that, being that the BT doesn't need any more mediocre teams or coaches to lend credence to the perception that the BT as a conference has lost some strength, i.e. parity/competitiveness top to bottom. Zook and what he's done at Illinois are an embarassment, not only to the institution and their faithful, but also diminish the conference and how it is viewed, not only on a regional level, but on the national stage as well. Personally, when Illinois announced that Zook would be there another year, I was disappointed. I'd rather have a representative/competitive Illinois than a blowout/cupcake Illini squad to push around. It's up to the administration of those institutions to position their programs to be competitive in the conference. Hopefully, the Illini faithful will put pressure on their administration to do just that. You can do better than Zook! The Gophers are also an embarassment to the BT. It is up to the President and AD to rethink their misguided loyalty to Mr. Zook, and grow a pair of stones and show him the door. In Kirk we trust. GO HAWKS. Thanks to Hayden Fry, we got Kirk.
