This stands out to me, and is the reason Police Officers say never to interfere with a couple having an argument.....

"Police say video footage from a security camera in the bar showed McCabe in an argument with a woman when the victim approached and attempted to separate the two. McCabe then punched the man, knocking the victim to the floor, and, as McCabe walked out of the bar he blew a kiss to the victim, according to police."

Sounds like he might have put his hands on Zach which is an act of aggression and a dangerous move in a bar with someone who is about a foot taller than you and is, as Fran stated as Strong as Steel....

Can't help myself, I am and have always been on Zach's side in this situation.....

Who knows, jack. It'd be interesting to see the video. But, I think by now we're all pretty aware of the backstory here and the dude that got punched was almost literally asking for it. I'm on Zach's side on this one too, due to the twitter-stalking and the fact that he sent the last tweet from right inside that bar within a few feet of Zach, as I recall things. The dum*ss got what he was asking for.

We might be in the minority on the issue, Arvada, but I can't see it any other way....

They both F'ed up. Dude deserved it, and there is no excuse to lose your temper like that for Zach. Misdemeanor charge that he does still deserve to get.

If the video shows Kase putting his hands on Zach or pushing him, then I do not believe charges should be filed. Otherwise, Zach would probably get a misdemeanor charge, a fine and community service. I don't think he would mind that.....

The punk wanted to push Zach to that point. He was also asked directly via twitter: "were you there?" He replied with, "he hit me haha."

I can't blame Zach for losing his temper, especially considering the history of harassment. I don't know anyone who would not be extremely irritated and probably 90% of them, people I personally know, would have put him on the floor.....

The testimony of the woman will obviously have something to do with the outcome of a trial. According to the video, Zach did assault the guy. The motivation is the question. Was the assault defensive or offensive? Did the guy interfere because it involved Zach McCabe or because he felt the woman was in danger? If the woman felt threatened by Zach and Zach punched a guy coming to her defense, Zach could be in trouble.

Unless the guy shoved McCabe, McCabe could be in trouble. Some guy putting a hand on someone to break up two people isn't likely to be a good enough defense for knocking that guy's lights out. Even if the guy deserved to be decked for the crap he was slinging on Twitter, that's not a good enough reason in the eyes of the law.

It sounds like a job for Judge Judy not a criminal court.

So you saw the video? And your impression is that Zach was going to hit the woman and the Punk was defending her. In that case, I call for a misdemeanor.....

Do you have a copy of the video that you could post or PM me. I would love to see it.....

It depends on exactly what happened, but in my opinion, if two people are just having an argument, don't try to be a hero and interfere. Mind your own business, and let the owners of the establishment handle it if it starts to become a scene.

If someone is being physically threatened, that changes things, but arguments happen all the time - Sir Galahad doesn't need to show up and save the day.

Still, that doesn't give you the right to clock someone, unless you're having to physically defend yourself.

Too bad Zach has these charges looming and couldn't leave the state. Would have had opportunity to play with the Pelicans in Vegas this month.
