Sargent and Goodson has the potential to be as good or better than Daniels and Butler.
As far as split backfield, I don't see a downside with the personnel we have. Defenses know we aren't a TE threat this year, and a 2 RB set doesn't detract from passing formations because, similar to Wadley, Goodson is an all-purpose yardage threat who has shown he can move the ball after contact. It doesn't tip our hand to anything because of the different options we have, and I honestly can't think of one downside.
It still allows a TE+2 or Ragaini/Martin in the slot along with Smith/ISM wide. It does preclude the fullback power I, but 1) Sargent/Young can both block, and 2), what's our net yardage been out of that formation anyway?
