Sounded so loud on TV. Let's hear your stories and experiences from the osu drubbing...

I was there and it was glorious! It was great football weather, we had a blast tailgaitng. I was surprised as to how many Ohio fans were there, kind of like N Dakota St last year, lots of red throughout the stadium. When we picked that INT for 6 first play of the game, it was like "did that really happen?" The first 3-4 offensive series for OSU, they seemed unstoppable, like they got 7-12 yards a play. I was thinking they are going to just blow us out.

Our receivers finally showed up, they caught everything, especially out two tightends. #38 just burned the Buckeyes everytime he caught the ball. One thing I noticed about OSU even in warm up's. they act like an SEC team, arrogant and cocky. They didn't seem tough, like your traditional Big 10 teams, more flash than anything. I think we just physically crushed them.

I tip my my hat to the OSU coaches and players for waving to the kids at the end of the 1st Q, I didn't think they would. Even Urban waved. It was great to beat them since we hand't since 04, but there have been many years in between where we didn't play them.

As the game ended some Buckeye fans walking out of Kinnick, I yelled...'Hey Buckeyes, the Cyclones put up a better fight than you did." One guy turned around just furious and responds..."yeah, no kidding!" I just laughed. Watching their BCS dreams go down in flames inside Kinnick was special & to watch Urban lose was great.

It was electric the moment Back in Black started playing and the team came down the tunnel. The crowd exploded with the first pick 6. It was so important the offense matched OSUs first 17 points. The crowd was a little stunned how easily and quickly they moved the ball but the hawks answered.

Then you could feel the crowd get behind the defense even more, loud it was very loud and I yelled like crazy for an almost 66 year old fanatic. but it looked like the hawk defense started crowding the LOS a bit more cutting off their big first downs.

The key was the score to go up 24-17 then followed by the jackson pick and another score to be 31-17 at the half but even more followed by our stuttering 3rd qtr start but the defense held until it went to 38-17.

But the defense got great crowd support and it was loud after a little lull late in the third qtr. And the crowd was awesome after each big offensive play and the offense didnt disappoint.

The thing that struck me most was that even when we were up by 28 at the end of the 3rd qtr, it STILL felt like fans were nervous that OSU could somehow come back and win! And when Rastetter didn't get that 1st down and OSU scored to get within, what, 24 (?) again, it briefly took the crowd out of the game, even though there was basically zero chance OSU would win. How odd is that?

But when it got under 4 minutes, the buzz began that this was actually going to happen! And when we scored to make it 55, it was just surreal and amazing and truly glorious and just so damned unexpected. Oh man it was awesome, awesome in the old-fashioned sense of looking around in awe and disbelief at what was going on. I can't think of another game like it. I was there when we crushed Illinois 59-0 in 1985, and when we wood-shedded MSU in 2010, and those were a little like this. But hell, this was The Ohio State University who we basically never ever beat. Epic. Truly Epic.

I' ve been going to Iowa games since my childhood in the mid-60's. This is the best game I've ever seen there.....period! There have been lots of great victories, but this beat down takes the cake.

YMMV.

Electric and awesome atmosphere. Just a completely higher level of buzz and excitement - not just in the stands but also on the sideline - than has been in a long while and it lasted the entire game,

Family comes from Southern Ohio and Vegas for 1 game per year ... Michigan, last year, OhSt, yesterday. Needless to say, been designated a MUST do tradition for the toughest game of the year, going forward.
