They get a one point win over a Kobe-less Laker team last night and they think that automatically means that they "are back" Sorry Boston but you might be the 4th best team in the East right now. (Might is the key word)
 
I hate Boston but that was still an impressive win. The Lakers even without Kobe had been beating down some good teams, San Antonio, Utah. A lot of their guys, especially Odom and Artest, seem to play a lot more aggresive when Kobe is out.
 
They have to run more plays because they can't get their own shots/create shots like Kobe can, so by having to work the system to create scoring chances it makes almost everyone look more aggressive.

And they also aren't just standing around watching Kobe run iso's for most of the game.
 
The Celtics window has officially closed - KG is basically playing with one leg and Rasheed Wallace has bigger cans than Jenna Jameson.

Unless Rondo magically becomes a 90% FT shooter instead of a 58% shooter they cant beat Cleveland, Orlando or maybe even Atlanta.
 
It wasnt an impressive win but it was a much needed win.


The 4th quarter of that game was intense.



The Lakers are good.


Kobe Bryant- or a go to guy who can score when you need a basket or hit a big shot in the 4th quarter- is what seperates the championship caliber teams and the 7th and 8th seeds.

Yeah, they have no chance of winning the title. And I love watching KG get beat constantly now. Is there a bigger punk in the whole league than him? Watching him get dunked on will never get old to me.

Exactly, they are MAYBE the 4th best team in the East
 
Celtics followed that game up by going up to Portland and blowing out the Blazers in a back to back game. KG looks like he has a little more pop in his legs on this road trip. They have clearly been pacing themselves,but now are starting to step it up.
Rondo is a monster,leading the league in steals,and getting assists and rebounds like a maniac. If they can get into the 2nd or 3rd slot and play the Magic in the second round, I think they get to the Eastern finals...and all bets are off. They are the only team in the east that can beat Lebron and co.

Yeah, the Celtics need to avoid the Atlanta Hawks (IMO). They don't matchup with those young legs as well as some of the other teams. If Ray Allen can stay playing well and Pierce and KG can stay healthy, their defense can carry them far. I wonder how A.Jamison will affect the Cleveland-Boston matchup (if Jamison can make a shot :)).
 
It is funny how these traded players react...Jamison has been a non-factor for the Cavs as they drop three in a row for the first time all year. Meanwhile, the Wiz,without Butler,jamison,arenas,crittenton,ect....beat the Nuggets and the Bulls with a bunch of bench guys,basically....ouch.
