You have to feel bad for the injured players

Brents, Rieff, Hankins, etc have put in a lot of work and now are missing time. Merriweather and Moss. Jackson. Got to suck for them and it does the fans not being able to see them perform. That is basically 6 starters.

It is the same bad situation for players and fans of other teams.

Was Hankins injury ever identified or maybe it was and I forgot but it looked or seemed like a hamstring and those slight to more severe tears are bad and hard to get over.

And forgot to add they miss playing in the big house where Mich has probably won more games than any team and it would be great for them to be on the field when the clock expires with a hawk win.

Injuries roll through football like the sands of time. It didn't suck any less for Aaron Greving, Dace Richardson, Wes Aeschilman, Jewel Hampton, Jake Duzey, or Drew Ott. Back in Hayden's day you had Lon Olejnizak, Dan Wirth, George Millett, Tavian Banks to an extent. David Husdon was always banged up.

One man's injury is another man's opportunity. But hopefully the players you mentioned will be back out there and very soon.

Dan Wirth was always the one who stuck with me. He was a crown jewel linebacker recruit out of West Des Moines (don't want to guess the wrong high school) and was also a wrestling prospect. His parents and mine hung out a little bit during freshman orientation. I don't remember his exact injuries but am pretty sure he had both knees reconstructed and might have had one of them repaired twice. He ended up being a journeyman player in the Chuck Long/Chuck Hartleib years, getting some special teams time, but totally losing his shot at stardom.
