Wyatt Lohaus

Just picked up his first D1 offer from San Francisco I believe. Not sure that he’s a high major player unless he does some serious developing, although he was just a soph this past year.

Along with San Francisco, he has: UNI (NCAAAs in '04, '05, '06, '09, '10), N Colorado (NCAAs in '11), Rice and South Dakota St. Before his Junior year.

I respectfully disagree with your evaluation, Benddontbreak. He'll land either in the Big Ten or a Creighton/Witchita State-type program.

Lohaus may be the best prospect on that ICW team that now has 3 players with D1 offers (Morgan & Alexander the other 2). The state tournament games I seen on TV he looked really good. The fact that he started as a sophomore on a really good ICW team is impressive.

I don't know. I know he was just a sophomore, but he has pretty poor handles for a point and is not quick at all. He'd have to drastically improve those two areas or find a system where he can hang out around the 3pt line as he has a decent shot.

wisconsin?

a lot depends on his final size. his dad is seven ft, his mom 5'3. if he ends up in the 6'5+ range he could easily end up a gatens type.

Can someone get me a translator?!?

I thought he looked a lot like a role player to me as well. A heady player, but definitely not a difference maker...However, I spoke with someone closely tied to the ICW program that thinks the sky is the limit for this kid & that he had 'take the game over' kind of ability. I was surprised to hear that, as it differed from what I saw -- but then, Lohaus didn't have to be a scorer...he just needed to run the offense & get the ball to the guys that could score -- & he was very apt at that. He also had a very nice mid-range game...
