Antonio Brown and the Steelers and many teams can do. Brown has taken a simple bubble type screen pass for a 50 yd td and either a short post or quick slant for about 80 and a td in their first two possessions.
McCarron was fast enough to do it and Tevaun Smith could do it.
There were some good points in the recent thread "EXISTING WRS ADDING SUPPORT" but I think it is mostly routes and scheme. If KF still wants to run a pro-style mostly under center, fullback and I-back run game with one or two tight ends then I think they need to use routes that fit those formations and play action. Play action sucks up Lbkrs and safeties so there are usually a lot of patterns at a lot of depths over the middle between the hashes. I have to say that is not where the hawks have throwing the ball the last 5 years.
I really think Davis and maybe KF thought there was too little risk reward throwing 40 yard post patterns a lot or 20 yard seam routes to the TEs.
I think Falconer has the frame and speed, J Smith can improve and has shown the ability, and a healthy Vandeberg next year has shown he can run all these routes.
What routes and type of passing game should the hawks and KF go for, KOK version 2 or something else?
