Wrestleoffs

Should start Thursday, November 10th and conclude Saturday, November 12th. There should be some great match ups and some very exciting matches!

This may be the best year for wrestleoffs in a long time.

Telford vs. Raising: We may see a Big Ten Champion get replaced as starter

Ramos/Moore/Clark - All are capable of being AA's. Ramos appears to have a strong edge

Moore vs. Evans - I was shocked Evans made the cut to 165.

Carew/Kelly/Ballweg - I wouldn't be surprised to see any of these come out on top

The big excitement for the wrestle offs is it's the first time this season we get to see the Hawks wrestle in a pseudo match. As far as determining the starter, we all know it's only one factor if it's a close call. I think that'll be the case for all 4 weights highlighted above. Rasing and Ramos will have the early edge since they were starters last season, but that won't win them the spots.

25 McD
33 Ramos
41 Marion
49 Kelly
57 DSJ
65 Evans
74 Lofthouse
84 Gambrall/ Wagner if Grant is out
97 Lira
HVY Rasing

This is my guess as to who wins each wrestle off. I see just how loaded some weights are. 33,41,49,65,Hvy. Then you notice just how unloaded some weights are. 74,84, 97. Should be a good year.

You forgot to include 125 in the "unloaded" category :)

JJ krutsinger is a good 25 back up. Clark And Ramos could still make 125. Nate Moore is still in there at 133 also. So i guess i think our depth is thick at most all the lower weights.
Hope Brands can still Land Burak. I love the way that kid wrestles.
Also need a good heavyweight to back up Telford next year. I know Austin Blythe would give Telford a great work out partner. Heck even James Ferentz could hold his own im sure.

I see it more like:
McDonough
Ramos
Marion
Carew
DSJ
Moore
Lofthouse
Gambrall
Lira/Wagner
Telford/Rasing

That is with the first guy having a slight edge at the top 2 weights.

FWIW, none of those guys have wrestled at 125 for 2 years. I'm not saying they can't make the cut...just saying it's been a while.

Ramos could make 125 easy.
He'd have to certify at 125. I don't fully understand the process, but I know there are rules on how much weight can be cut over time based on the individual's body mass. Does anyone know if any of our "133" guys are certifying at 125?
