WR DeAnthony Arnett Names 3 Official Visits

I really really hope so. Sounds like the real deal. And he sounds confident and like he has his head on straight. Hopefully he sees past the USC BS.

Stross was a 4 star on scout, but 3 on rivals. DJK would have probably been a 4 star and an OSU commit if it wasnt for questions on his academics. Lets not forget Kirk Herbstreit's man crush on him.
 
Wait wait wait. Why is everyone talking about stars all of the sudden? I'm pretty sure everyone has made it clear in the Jake Duzey commits to Iowa thread that stars don't matter at all!!!

Nobody said they did matter, they are just wondering who the most highly touted WR is that KF has gotten.
 
DeAnthony would look great catching balls from Vandy and Jake Ruddock over the next 4 years.
Getting DA would be huge for the program.

The potential in a 2-3* recruit may not be as easy to see, or predict...but that doesn't mean they won't become solid players. That's where you find the hidden gems that KFz has built the program with.

A kid with 4 or 5* has gotten that attention for a reason. He has exceptional talent which stands out.

Those concepts are not contradictory. Make sense ISU? (use the "HAWK" part of your brain)

Anyone else see the way James Cleveland is going in Houston......Our coaches can get talent......have some faith
 
Arnett is going to a warm weather city. He has long been thought of as a USC lean before the sanctions came down. They are still thought to be the leader.

I'd be pretty surprised, but we do have Soup. And if he's seeing what's going on right now with DJK, McNutt, Davis, he may shift his decision. I know, I know, it's a long shot, but this year may make a difference for him as well.

I think you meant to stop after DJK and McNutt- not to take anything away from Davis, but he really hasn't done anything yet. Will be interesting to see how he's used this year though.

Agree that Arnett may be a long shot- but he seems like he could be in a great position to come in and immediately make a difference with his talents.

It was kind of hard when you are a true freshman with 5 solid guys ahead of you in stross, DJK, McNutt, Sandeman, and Chaney.

Not sure if you are agreeing with him on this, so I apologize if I make the wrong assumption here. But that was his point. Davis may show Arnett something THIS year, but he's done nothing under Soup yet to make a recruit like Arnett say "WOW!!!!". That doesn't mean he isn't talented, but he's not been able to showcase his talent as of yet.
