Wow That Was a Tough Loss

The crowd was phenomenal.

Our offense played beautiful football - 30 points!!!

I'm not sure how we lost this stinking game.

We need Norm Parker back - no adjustments on defense!!!

I am so depressed right now. I feel like a Cubs fan.
 




It was the most frustrating game I have attended, early KF years included.

Bonehead penaltys
Leaving 4 points on the field because we cant block or snap correctly
Poor defensive play
Clock management T.T

IMO This was actually more frustrating for me to watch then the Arizona game.

Yeah, and I was in the stands in AZ. Those that do not learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them...(special teams)
 


Some observations:

1. We miss Norm Parker. Gosh, you did a defensive coordinator on the sidelines to make the calls. He is not there.
2. We miss Tarpinian.
3. Our LB play is not that good.
4. I thought we played a little tight - not sure why.

Perhaps the loss will loosen things up - throw the ball guys - we have a great QB and great receivers.

1 and 4 are spot on.

Norm's void is a tremedous hit to this Defense.

But how do you know if you are not willing to let someone be the next man in? The way KF has handled Norm's absence is like a coach not being able to decide on a QB when the starter goes down.
 


Defense is really not playing well and correct no adjustments in 2nd half we got worse and no changes at all and never a blitz or anything different.
 


The game was in hand, had the lead with time running out. Fake punt=game over. Special Teams is why Iowa has two losses, no other reason. Everyone else played good enough to win.

This game was not in hand. If you thought that I want what your drinking during the game. Sure the ST is hurting us in a big, big way. However on the flip side. The Defense in the 2 drives that mattered this season with us having the lead late, has not come with a stop.

Actually the defense DID come up with a stop on the last drive. I don't consider the Punt return team part of the defense. Also, they had another 4th and 5 on that drive, which in normal circumstances is a stop. But time running out it's 4 downs instead of three so Wisky went for it and made it.
