Wow - Rick Majerus is messed up

He was rumored as an Iowa coaching candidate for a while, back when we were looking...didn't know he jumped back in. Would you want him as the Iowa coach knowing this?

As Coach Majerus is a frequent visitor to the state of Iowa as he is close to Mr. Davis and does a lot of clinics around the country. I have actually heard that he is a pretty pleasant man. Some of the things that he does and says at practice may be taken out of context or exaggerated. I don't read deadspin (and regret doing so this time) for the simple reason that I don't believe crap written by second rate journalists trying to get a rise. Put simply, it is the national inquirer of sports.

I have a lot of respect for Rick Majerus and what he has done as a coach, and I would gladly let him come to the University of Iowa and coach if he wanted to.
 
I would LOVE Majerus on the Iowa bench!

Majerus is a clown...the last thing I would want is a coach that makes everything about himself moreso than the team when things go right yet won't take any responsibility when things go wrong...
 
His first team down at St Louis scored something like 12 points in a game and he said after the game that he feels like a step father to these kids because they didn't ask for him and he doesn't want them. I think most of it's in good humor...but he's definitely not afraid of offending anyone.
 
Wouldnt want him. He is a very odd man, wouldnt be committed to anything but himself, lives in a motel part of the year ( commitment issues ) and is gone the off season. How is that a good thing? ( then add in the abusiveness )
 
He hasn't set the basketball world on fire at SLU yet. At most D-I schools his seat would be getting warm.
