There were lots of great upset picks this year. The Montana Grizzlies taking out the Cuse wasn't one of them.

Actually, for Iowa fans, the upsets should have been rather easy picks yesterday. The P12 teams were ranked too low, 12s always beat 5s, we all know about Alfraud and we hate the RPI (MWC).

Just for fun: Last night I had dinner with the brother (Terry) and sister in law of the head coach at Montana. Terry is a good friend and was at one time an Olympic athlete. Terry's brother (Montana coach) has two daughters and a son. His daughters are 6'1" and 6'3". One is an all conference women's basketball player at Stanford and the other is a freshman on the Gonzaga women's team (she gets lots of playing time.) His son is a 6'5" high school player and his team won a state championship. We had a nice dinner, but I won't talk to Terry today...I am sure he is in mourning for his brother's team. Small world.

I thought about that upset pick after seeing Syracuse lay down in the second half against L'ville, but then I heard Montana's leading scorer was done for the year with an injury.
