Wow. Does this help Stanzi?

Pro Football Weekly writer totally rips Cam Newton:

Nolan Nawrocki on Newton: "Very disingenuous — has a fake smile, comes off as very scripted and has a selfish, me-first makeup. Always knows where the cameras are and plays to them. Has an enormous ego with a sense of entitlement that continually invites trouble and makes him believe he is above the law — does not command respect from teammates and will always struggle to win a locker room . . . Lacks accountability, focus and trustworthiness — is not punctual, seeks shortcuts and sets a bad example. Immature and has had issues with authority. Not dependable."

No chance. Stanzi is where Stanzi is. There about 70-100 players inbetween Stanzi and the first pick of the draft, one guy falling isn't going to do much for him.

Agreed...Newton won't likely fall out of the first round and if he does he still goes ahead of stanzi

As long as Jerry Jones is the owner of the Cowboys, guys like Newton will be employed in the NFL

All right seriously, the idea that we are talking about Cam Newton falling, rising, staying put whatever is just absurd to me. He is one of the worst QB's I have ever seen get mentioned as a top pick in the draft. 1. He can't throw with any sort of mustard or accuracy 2. He played in a league the SEC that was absolutely horrid defensively this year 3. He runs upright and will get absolutely mauled at the next level. NFL guys are absolutely licking their chops to tattoo him the first time he runs the ball.

Running QB's do not last in the NFL unless they go through a dramatic shift in style of play, they just don't. Even the physical freak who let the dogs out had to change his game before he had the best year of his career this year. Scam is the single-most overrated player I have ever seen in the history of college football and whoever is stupid enough to waste a first round draft pick on him will feel about that pick like the charges felt about ryan leaf.
I have been a die-hard niners fan since the first game I ever watched in the NFL but if they draft Scam I will be disowning them and become an Iowa-Apolis-Colts fan.

If this is accurate and/or true he will be exposed pretty quickly in that lockerroom, ask Ben Roethlisberger, Vince Young, etc. What happens when or if he becomes humbled will determine what type of qb he will be because the physical tools are there.

But to answer your question, no it doesn't help Stanzi, Newton will be a 1st rounder, no matter what.

I think Jake Locker is right there as well. I am totally baffled what all the PR is on this guy. He is an athlete, ok I get that. Ever watch him try to throw a football? I really don't get this one at all - he is not a good QB and whoever drafts him is clueless.

So did you ever watch him play this year or are you just talking out of your ***? He was the second highest rated passer in the country right after Kellen Jones. Did you catch the second half of the Alabama game? That is the closest thing to an NFL defense there was this year. I'm a Niners fan as well but don't want him but it's not because he is talented. The kid has shown he can play.

He's definitely athletically gifted, but his baggage is too much to gamble on with a top 15 pick. I'd definitely pass if I was a NFL GM.

I have to admit, I started reading this and I wasn't sure if this was a description of Obama or Cam Newton....

Tim Tebow had similar stats, compared to Newton. Tebow also has had to totally rework his game in order to be an NFL quarterback. And Tebow has/had TREMENDOUS intangibles, where Newton apparently does not.

A lot of the things in that scouting report/assessment are things that I've thought about him for a long time now. It's becoming clear that at this point, he doesn't have the right mindset to succeed at the next level. He might wake up and get his head right once he gets that cocky grin wiped off his face by an NFL defense, and go on to be a Vick kind of QB (2010 Vick), or he could be the second coming of Jamarcus Russell.
