I interpret that to say that Butler recieved and inbound pass from another West Virginia player and made a three pointer. Not out of bounds.

Further, if he was in the crapper, he may still not have been out of bounds so long as neither he nor the ball touched anything out of bounds--i.e. the incredibly rare phenomenon of a "levitation crap".

I saw it happen and it most definitely was not out of bounds.
