Would you rather

1. Beat Nebraska and Michigan but lose to NW/IU/Purdue

2. Beat NW/IU/Purdue and lose to Nebraska and Michigan.

Were not losing to Indiana, I dont see why people are getting nervous about that game. We're gonna beat NW, purdue and indiana. (knock on wood)

Seems kind of easy for me. Lets assume for a second that this scenario represents all the losses we will have. I would rather be 10-2 losing to Michigan and Nebby instead of 9-3 losing to NW/IU/Purdue.

I say we'll beat IU, PU, and the red NU, but lose to the purple NU and UM.
A 3-2 scenario, modified.

Beating Neb/Mich and losing to the other three would just make me ****** off...and raise serious concerns about the need for KF to change something even more drastically than new coordinators.

Beat NwU, IU, PU - no question.

Not only for the extra W but a variety of reasons:

#1: It's been WAY too long since Hawks have consistently and reliably beaten the teams it's supposed to.

#2: I like getting the NwU and IU road wins. That's a big gorilla off JVB's back.

#3: Take care of business and you're likely to be 9-1, with the only loss @ MSU. The team is confident and focused on a division title with Mich & Nebby, both division foes, left. They get those 3 and my cofidence goes way up to protect Kinnick and beat Nebby, anyway. (I just can't see this defense containing "laces", regardless.)

#4: I've been predicting Hawks to be 6-1 thru Penn St and struggling to finish 7-5, since April. Recent history has shaken my confidence in Hawks taking care of business, so, I see that NwU - Indy - Purdue stretch as making or breaking the season and the key indicator whether the program is back on track. Beat them (like you should because you are better) and you go from 6-6 / 7-5 to 9-3 / 10-2.

Keep in mind Purdue isn't in our division. both scenarios result in two losses within the division. wins over Nebraska and Michigan I think gives us a better chance to win the division. but from a frustration standpoint running the big games and taking the should-wins is immeasurably frustrating. but I think beating Nebraska and Michigan helps us more than losing those three games hurts us.

Based on our history under KF, I'd say it's more likely we beat Nebraska and Michigan and lose to NW and Purdue. For whatever reason, he has a penchant for pulling the upsets and peeing down his leg against the mediocre teams.

If I had to guess, though, I'd say we beat Nebraska and Purdue, since they're home games and we lose to Michigan and NW since they're away games.
