Would Selection Committee Choose Notre Dame Over Any One-Loss B1G Champ?

If Notre Dame wins out, their most impressive wins would be versus Stanford, Pitt, and Navy. With the exception of ND's good loss to a "great" Clemson team, Notre Dame's ACC resume isn't that impressive; they didn't play two of the top 3 teams, Florida State and North Carolina, and they beat 4 ACC teams with losing records: Virginia, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and Boston College. Notre Dame also won 3 games against teams from non-power five conferences: UMass, Temple, and Navy. Could Notre Dame, with one loss and a good but not great schedule, get voted into the Final 4 over any one-loss B1G Champ?

They lost by 2 at Clemson. As "good" of a loss as there is. Also, they would have just won at a top 10 ranked team.

Not arguing for them, but this would be a solid one.

The committee would take them over "any" B1G team, but they WOULD take them over Iowa. Even an undefeated Iowa.

I agree with you, but I also think there are two committee members that would vote for Iowa over Notre Dame: Barry Alvarez and Tom Osborne.
