The only way I could see any competent coach or AD going to that dumpster fire is to grab some cash and GTFO when the fans ask for your head (which will only take a couple games).
Both are probably tired of the "suuuuuuuu pig" crap.

I heard Trev Alberts' name mentioned. He is at UNO. Probably not a bad hire if they think he's ready. 2 time Nebraska all-american. Clean image. Bleeds Husker Red. Why not.

Anything to keep him out of the announcers booth or TV studio.
I liked Albert's crazy and irreverent take on football back in the espn studios. He pissed off some people which is needed once in awhile.

An AD is surrounded by so many people and has so much administrative support, it almost comes down to being P.R. for the athletics program and not being afraid to make tough decisions such as firing someone. Of course a hire is what they ultimately get judged on along with negotiation of that contract, buyouts, etc. Trev seems like the ideal fit for Nebraska
