Would Forbes run an uptempo style?

I remember reading one of the links on here about that he was not as uptempo as Pearl when joining his staff. Would he run the Pearl style offense here?

When you look at his background, that is typically the best indicator. He has been around Pearl..he has been around Gillispie. He scored points at the Juco level. I think it's safe to assume he isn't gonna break out the Princeton offense as its not something he has been around

He would run the Flex and he will press.

He will play what suits his team best...he's a smart guy.

Eventually he will get the type of player he wants to play uptempo and will trap and press..his style will work very well in the B10.

Heard an interview where he talks about this. (not related to Iowa) Said Tenn would like to run and gun and press more but don't have the right personnel right now to win with that style. Said you have to adapt your style to the strengths of your team. I kinda liked that approach.

Thats what I meant. When he gets the right personnel, this is what he will do.

It will be nice to have a HC that changes things up when something isn't working, instead of doing more of the same and expecting it to work.

Yeah I have trouble seeing Brennan Cougill running up and down the court with a team like Tennessee...:)

I'm not sure what he would run with our current roster.

Besides May, Payne, and maybe Fuller, which players does Iowa even have that could run with Big 10 teams?

Yeah, pretty slim pickins.

And even Payne is probably being kind. He's a nice guard, but there are much better out there that could run circles around him.
