Worst safety play in the KF era...

Virtualy every year in the KF era, one of the constants you can depend on is safety play. I'd say it's even more constant than OL play, which has had flat out bad years. But historically, safety play, both in run support as well as keeping pass plays in front of them, has always been stellar. This year, our safeties constantly tackle air and when they do manage to get a hand on the ball carrier, can't wrap up. On pass plays, there's always a free runner deep. I know the D didn't lose us this game, but they have lost us 2 others and for the future, that has to be fixed.

Snyder couldn't cover a rock with a bed sheet....he is horrible!!! But much like #87 who came out of nowhere today, I GUARANTEE there is at least two people (DB's or LB's) buried on the bench that could do a better job.

The only year I remember worse Safety play was 1999. I would say the same thing about WR play. I wasn't at the game but if what Jon said in his podcast is true (WRs half-assing their routes) then there are some players that need to be shown the door.

87 is Fant. CouLD be a good one, matchup nightmare when used right...which we won't of course

Snyder and Taylor are both horrible. So many whiffs on tackles, horrible angles, getting burned deep. They neither one are FBS level safeties. Our receivers? No words to describe how bad they are...

I noticed that on the tv coverage. Half-assed routes, half-assed attempts to catch the ball. I don't know who the wr coach is, but he stinks!

Bobby Kennedy. He was specifically brought in to teach receivers what GD wants done. Oh yeah, recruiting also.

I don't see what the problem is, after all Kirk is 8-0 on the year. The rest of the program, well, they are on their own.

I thought Miles Taylor was a big improvement at safety last year and played well. this year he seems to have regressed as many of you have mentioned. Snyder takes some bad angles and as deep as the safeties play they still are not there to help on deep passes.

Was it 2 or 3 years ago? it was worse.
In fairness if you need to move up and cover middle weakness against the run, it's hard to do your job.
