let's play a fun game to blow off steam since all our day's are ruined. When's the last time you can remember an Iowa team performing this poorly? Keep in mind the term effort really doesn't apply here, effort means you actually gave half a crap.

I'll start.
worst effort since.................Iowa Iowa got anally violated by minnesota 51-14 in 2014.
 
I don't think iowa so much played bad as the fact that they were out played.....matched Iowa's physicality...matched Iowa's talent.

yes the 2014 Minny game comes to mind.

- just not that good.
 
My day isnt ruined at all I know Im not a real fan because I refuse to take losses poorly and laugh about it now. I used to get pissed treat my friend and family like a twat all day after a loss now I laugh and cheer because its on Ferentz and Barta not the players when this school wants to win and not just sell tickets Ill come back but it wont happen with Tweedle D and Tweedle Direct Deposit leading the way.
 
You guys are crazy. Our team was so bad at the end of that year, I would have been surprised if we won. Bad effort games imply that you lost to an inferior team.
 
I honestly don't blame the effort. I just think NDSU is a better team. Football, they say, is won in the trenches, and their lines dominated ours in the second half dramatically.

If it makes anyone feel better, if NDSU were in the B1G West, they might go 6-3 this year.
 
Given the expectations for this year, this was the worst game I can remember. We didn't just get beaten, we got physically dominated, out coached. This is the new low.

I'm usually pretty optimistic, but I think we we shown a 6-7 win team today.

Hats off to NDSU.

Ferentz does a good job overall and the odds of finding someone better and keeping them are slim. That said, we will always have to watch the team crap the bed as double digit favorites because of his coaching methods.

If we play this game with urgency to maximize possessions, we lose almost never. Instead it's slow plodding, time killing offense and time killing, bend try not to break defense that minimizes possessions and gives bad teams a chance. Frustrating as hell to watch a game that looks like there is no way to lose, only to give it away in the end. Should be used to it right now but I'm still not.
 
Dunno, been so many bad losses, but the Rose Bowl loss was embarrassing given the media treatment of Iowa all last year. However, one could say from an overall perspective, no O-Line effort, No D effort, that this was one of the worst all-around showings in some time. Pretty bad.

Been there but I got over it and my wife said Id never get over it and Id always be the way I was after a loss. I just wont let some idiot AD and over rated coach dictate how I feel anymore. Id much rather lose with someone who seems to want to win then lose with a guy playing not to lose and losing to lesser teams. We cant call NDST bad but #13 Iowa shouldn't be losing this game but boy is it funny.
