Worse call than the tuck rule

Indeed he got both feet, a knee and a hand down before he put the ball on the ground. To all you bears fans out there, how does it feel to know that your team needed the refs to win against one of the worst teams in the NFL. HAHAHA

If that is the rule, I suppose it is the rule. However, it is stupid. He caught it, went down, landed, then put his hand down, then let go of the ball. Wow

Yeah that was BAD. The sad thing is that players who cross the goal line by diving and then lose the ball, is still a touchdown.

As a Bears fan I completely agree. The Bears did not deserve that game. You really can't blame the officials on this one. Its the NFL rules which I'm sure this will come up in the next rules committee meeting.

They got the rule right. Whether or not it's a good rule is another discussion. Of course he could have easily tucked the ball into his body and made no doubt instead of holding it up to the ref's and everyeone else saying "look what I did".

I have him on my fantasy team also, it sucks.

Same thing happened to the Bears in 2004 @ Detroit. But yeah Detroit deserved it and Lovie should be fired for not kicking that FG in the fourth quarter.

Well other fanbases were saying the same thing about Iowa's win over Indiana or the fact that we had to block two FGs against UNI last year. Sometimes it's just better to be lucky.

I am so sick of these millionaire crybabies and their total inconsistency. Lions won that game period! The score doesn't show it but the Lions and the Bears know it. And how about this Lance Briggs blitzes, sacks the Q, strips the ball and the Bears couldn't even put it in from the one yd line on four tries. And not kicking the FG for the lead? Ridiculous....Lovie just leave, please! Mike the Magician Martz, just please leave. Tice and Marinelli....quit blowing smoke all over creation in an attempt to maintain job security. Cutler reminds me of Eeyore from the Winnie the Pooh books. Talk about bears with class....they should bring in Winnie the Pooh to coach something for Chicago.....I'll shut up now and go take my medication. Why do I even abuse myself watching the Bears? The kings of emBEARassment!

I agree with this. He turned, held the ball with one hand (ridiculously idiotic) and then tried to catch himself with the other hand.

He had the ball with two feet down, in the end zone. Plays over. Touchdown.

Running backs don't have to "continue the process" when they break the plane.

Yes there were a couple of questionable plays against Indy, but when you get beat by 18 the refs didnt screw you.
