I hope it's the damn shoes. I was wearing a certain Hawk shirt at the games we've won and I decided I wouldn't wash it until the season was over. Somehow it made it into my laundry bag and I hoping I didn't screw up the rest of the season.

I've been doing the same with my Hawkeye stocking cap. It's been through a ton of driveway shoveling and is getting kinda ripe. I wear it while watching every game and it grosses my wife out. I told her it's just like the commercials….it's only weird if it doesn't work. After the game Saturday, I kept it on and went outside for another snow shoveling session. Dogs won't even sniff it anymore but it's ready for Tuesday

big area of improvement is Woodbury’s free-throw shooting. He made 51.0 percent of his attempts from the line a season ago. He’s at 71.4 this season. After making 7-of-8 against Penn State, he got a text message from Ras Vanderloo, his coach at Sioux City East.
“He said, ‘What’s up with you making all these free throws?’ ” Woodbury said. “I told him it was because my coaching in high school held me back.”
