Woodbury & Gesell

Marty (1700 the Champ) was talking to the All Iowa Attack coach, and he mentioned Woodbury is very loyal (iowa was first to offer i believe, Hawkeye fans in family). The coach also said he tells his kids to go places where they are really wanted (ie. #1 on the school's list). Mentioned Gesell has a high regard for academics, so he wouldn't rule out Stanford.

I've always felt that are chances with Woodbury would rest with his feelings of growing up being a Hawkeye fan and if that would carry over into some kind of loyalty factor. From a business point of view our chances wouldn't not be really good, but for some individuals family, home, and loyalty can strongly factor into a person's decision. Even in a world where most go for total instant gratification there will always be those few who chose the path less followed. I do not know Adam at all. I've read he has grown up being a hawkeye fan with along with his parents. Even so I would understand why he would chose a Kansas, a North Carolina, etc. What I would find difficult to understand is why a person would drag out his decision on where he wants to play college basketball at and then decide it's not at the school that he grew up cheering for and following. From all reports Adam appears to be a fairly intelligent person and some are saying loyal. To string the Iowa staff out this long just to say no to them doesn't sound like something that a fan of the Iowa program would do knowing full well if he just told Iowa it's a no go then the staff could then concentrate their efforts on another player. So based on this reasoning I feel Adam will be a hawkeye. Only speculation on my part of course but that is my two cents and probably what it's worth too.

Or maybe he doesn't know where he wants to go yet. If a few more schools are ready to offer him, why would he not wait and see what they have to offer? I want woody to be a hawk more than anybody, but to think there is a hidden message in his actions to this point is absurd.

Lol, I am sure it won't be the last.
I'm sorry, but it is not stringing a program along to not give someone a commitment by the middle of summer before your senior year in high school. And you assume that he already knows what his decision will be. What makes you think he actually knows this right now, given that he doesn't have offers from every school now that he would have if he waited until November?

I'm sorry, but your reasoning is not sound on this subject. You have been conditioned by when other kids commit to assume it is highly unusual, or almost unethical, to not know where you are going to go and commit by now.

if frans feel like he is being string along then he will move on to other targets. that has not happened. in fact it seems like players like Bell are being told that they cant commit right now.

Highschool juniors don't know what they're doing in an hour let alone anything in the future. When ready there will be a decision, but seriously I don't think he's stringing anything along. Unless he's waiting for an ESPN special to announce he's going to South Beach.

I would take my visits!

Go visit NC, Florida Ucla and Washington

4 places that it would be fun to visit
