Wolfgang & Miller Podcast

I enjoy listening to the podcasts, no matter how many times Wolfgang interrupts Jon. I saw some guy in the comments on the HN homepage podcast story, was calling Wolfgang terrible. I don't think that guy has a clue. Sure, Wolfgang is a bit of a homer and gets fired up, but that's what I want. Not a monotone guy who has no clue what he's talking about. It's a lot harder doing it off the cuff than it seems. So great job to Wolfgang and Jon.

One thing I didn't really agree with was when they talked about Fran's comments on Gesell. Fran said in the Pepperdine post game that after Mike stole the ball and went down and turned it over, that he told him to take it to the hoop until somebody stops him. Jon went on to say in the podcast that Gesell can't do that. I disagree with Jon here, the situation was a fast break. Any player should take the ball to the hoop on the fast break until a defender cuts you off. If it were a half court set situation and Gesell drove the lane, he should pass because he'll get blocked every time. That's not the case with a fast break.

Driving to our Thanksgiving destination and John and Wolfgang made the last 45 minutes or so go very quickly. Excellent job. Now you kids get your seat belts on!!! DON'T MAKE ME PULL THIS CAR OVER!!!!

Agreed - good podcast with a lot of good discussion. I also disagree with whoever called Wolfgang "terrible and clueless". He's certainly a little over the top but I thought he made some good points.

I learned a long time ago to disregard certain types of critiques...such as the 'you suck' or 'you are terrible' stuff. Bottom line; you give opinions and put yourself out there, people are going to like it and people are going to dislike it.

Another thing I learned is to ignore when just two people (TWO) post something negative,

Another Vote to continue the podcasts as they are now. I have been a longtime listener since Miller and Deace in the morning on KXNO. It has helped me get through some long weeks and difficult times in my life. Keep up the good work Jon. Kudos to Deace and Wolfgang too as I don't believe they are compensated (directly or indirectly) for their time.

I enjoy the podcasts and I think Wolfgang brings a lot of energy and interesting points of view.

As for Gesell, I love the guy for the commitment that he and Woodbury made to this program when it was at its absolute lowest. But when it comes to him taking the ball to the hole..........rarely does anything good come from that. He does a lot of things well, but taking the ball to the rack is just not one of his strengths. Unless he is on a complete breakaway with all 5 defenders behind him, I want him to stay out of the lane.
