Wisconsin plays a boring brand of basketball

I like Bo Ryan, and I know that Wisconsin has a successful basketball program, but I think they are very boring to watch. It's plodding, deliberate, fouling, bruising basketball. Lickliteresque, with more wins. I don't go out of my way to watch that team.

I don't like Bo Ryan. I don't like Wisconsin. I don't pull for them and I certainly will not be pulling for Mr. Brust or Mr. Uthoff...as I did not pull for Mr. Bohannon. I don't care what brand of ball they play.

That's a snippy thing to write. But if you feel the urge to be sarcastic, at least be original.

In other news, "man discovers fire?"....its pretty tough to be original using the, "in other news" bit because you have to use something that has already obviously happened and everyone knows about...

I don't know. Compared to the previous full time coach (Dick Bennett), Bo's teams are exciting. :) And Bennett took the Badgers to a Final 4.

Did you know the coach before Bennett (for one season) was Stan Van Gundy (now of the Orlando Magic)?

but its also hard to get that point across without going with that bit or some variation of it, such as the "News Flash:", or "Just saw this on CNN" bits :D

There's always the option of remaining silent if you can't do better than that. I guess I thought that the original poster didn't deserve that kind of snippy response - I agree with him, I won't watch a Wisconsin basketball game (unless Iowa is playing) because it is very boring to watch, while others may enjoy that style. It's a debatable point, and didn't need to be denigrated by a smartass post. But what do I know?

Whether it is boring or not, the basketball Ryan teaches is good, sound, fundamental ball that must be appealing to some of these Iowa kids because they can come in and play an integral role right away. And do that for a contender at the same time not being a huge recruit.

Assuming Fran gets this turned around, some of these kids will elect to stay home. But depending on how well it goes, they might have to be walk-ons.
