Will today's embarassment empty out Kinnick some?

How does this play on the remainder of the season.
I know it can't be good - losing to the worst team on your schedule.

Purdue is likely worse, but aside from them, I ain't counting on many more Ws unless Northwestern's tire fire keeps burning and Indiana has a bad game the day we play them.

Oh yeah, it will. Keep hearing from lots of people who are really getting fed up. Good thing they are away for a while before the next home game. But if they bomb on the road before coming back, there will be $5 and $10 tickets available for some games. It's just not fun football to watch at this point. To lose to an 0-2 ISU team (both losses at home) at Kinnick where the team didn't show any fire is just frustrating to fans beyond belief. 7 and 9 for Ferentz against ISU is just a disgrace. Walking out of the stadium today was just a walk of shame and disappointment. The timeout on the missed FG was the topper. If you're going to do it, do it well before kick or you run the risk of looking the fool, which played out exactly that way today.

Ya-Think???? This was the first sellout since the last time ISU played at Kinnick. Free hot dogs are soon to be served.

I haven't attended a game in years. Why would I pay that kind of money and deal with all of the headaches that go along with getting into and out of Iowa City on a game day to watch Ferentz football? To be perfectly honest, I no longer watch all of the games on TV either; I DVR some of them and if they win then I'll watch it. Iowa is one of the most boring teams in the nation to watch.

My son and his wife have tickets to four games this year, with two of those games still remaining. He said after the game that they're selling the tickets for the remaining games, just not worth the effort of making the trip. Can't say as I blame them.

Rename the stadium to Kinnick-Ferentz Family Stadium now!
No, the potential top new name is "East Jack Trice".

I have a daughter who decided to go to a football game this year. She chose Indiana. I tried to get her to pick a basketball game but she said, "Dad, this is Iowa Hawkeye football. Kinnick Stadium. 70,000 people. Tigerhawks everywhere. Duh."

**sigh**

Teenage daughters just can't see the forest through the 8-defenders-in-the-box. Hmmmm...

Well some .500 teams score points and put a watchable product on the field.

This is insufferable.

Those teams don't fill their stadiums.

This isn't basketball where a long season dictates an 'exciting product'. I don't care to watch a .500 TxTech-ish or sub.500 wash state-ish score points and lose games.

Football demands wins.
Especially wins at home.
And especially wins at home against less-talented opponents.
More specifcally, blowout wins at home against less-talented opponents.

KF's record the last few years doesn't fit that template.

Funny how none of those Kurt Fans that were roaming around here last week, bother to make an appearance.

Some? Both the UNI and BSU crowds were down.

And that's with perfect weather and a "new era dawning" (right)

Yes, if we lose @ Pitt and/or Purdue, count on a 10-15% no-show rate for Indiana.
