I can't believe how truly pathetic they look on what seems like a regular basis. Just wondering if they're coasting till the playoffs. Seems that they new way of doing things in the NBA.

The Heat will win a championship, but not until Kobe Bryant retires! :D

It's the zen-master's last year, right? only fitting if the finals are Bulls/Lakers

I think that's the matchup we'll get, too. The Bulls are very quickly working their way back to their perch atop the league that they've been away from ever since Jordan left.

Bulls Lakers my DREAM finals....I love my Bulls...I suffered through the "down" period after MJ left. and DRose is leading us back!

If the Heat lose early in the playoffs, I wonder if he regrets going to the heat. He could have joined the upcoming bulls and won multiple championships with Rose.

If they stay healthy they'll win a Finals with the core that they have eventually. Two years down the line I'd imagine the Celtics and Magic will have faded away. New York could get to be very good but I have a hard time seeing them rise up to a championship level with Amare and Carmelo as their two best players because of their defensive shortcomings. So in the East it's Chicago vs. Miami in my mind 2-3 years down the line. I do believe that both will get better over the next few years.
As for this year, I still believe the Celtics are the favorites. No more back to backs, traveling, and more rest between playoff games will give them more energy to make a push. After that I like the Bulls. The pieces fit together perfectly and they are great defensively. Then there is the Heat who I could see winning it all or losing badly in the 2nd round and it wouldn't be too surprising. They'll have 2 of 3 best individuals on the floor against anybody which gives them a chance but their 4-8th are the worst among any of the contenders.
The West in my mind is as simple as LA vs OKC.

Looking back I am REALLY glad Rose decided to not let Lebron walk all over people. I remember reading something about how Lebron was ticked that Rose didn't even call him and beg....it was like he wanted to be recruited again, should have gone to HS then, this is a business.
*I hate Lebron*

The same can be said about the Heat. Of their big 3, only Wade seems to consisitently be a defensive stopper. James is sporadic, and Bosh plays D once a season. The minimum level guys they fill the roster with are pretty much aging vets who, while caggy, don't have the physical tools to stay in front of their man. I think the Heat will be very good but fall short of a title until one of the three exits. I think Bosh is the likely one to go.

Couldn't really be more wrong here. The Knicks are bad defensively and have been even worse since they got Anthony, currently they are 22nd in the league with a defensive efficiency of 106.9 and play for a coach who barely emphasizes defense at all. The Heat are fifth in the league in defensive efficiency, 100.8, and have been one of the best defensive teams all year, as well as playing for a coach who is known for being an excellent defensive coach.

That they are and I am starting to lose faith that the Celtics can win this series. They just look old in the first 2 games. I will never understand the Nate Robinson, Kendrick Perkins for Krstic and Jeff Green trade.

I understand it in theory. They desperately needed somebody who could spell Pierce and they had been succesful without Perkins for most of the season but I don't see how a GM who interacts with his team everyday could miss how much of an impact it would have on the team chemistry. Rondo hasn't played near as well since the trade and KG's fake tough guy act doesn't really work when you no longer have a real tough guy (Perkins) to back you up.
