Will Speed and Explosiveness Be the Key to Iowa's Success in 2016?

The Hawks looked much quicker....Daniels and VandeBerg had wheels that we hadn't seen before...and Iowa had some very interesting explosive plays. Looks like the emphasis was improving the team's overall quickness. Recipe for success against the top teams in the league and country?

I think that's a fair observation but do think the overall team speed will always be something we will be challenged with. The stellar programs seem to get the candidates with the entire package of speed, size, and ability where we often get two of those three traits. Southern teams (and CA) better positioned for the speed talent pool unless you can recruit like Meyer, Harbaugh, etc.

Maybe Ferentz & staff can build some continued momentum to garner more attention from the warm weather state candidates in the future. That's what it is going to take in my opinion. Winning big solves many issues.

Speaking of speed, any updates on when Jonathan Parker might return? In late July they were saying could be 6-8 weeks.

yes

The question is whether Iowa actually has the speed & explosiveness needed to succeed.
