Why the Chiefs drafted Stanzi

Great read! Thanks for the link. I don't know how Ricky will do at the next level as a player. I hope he hasn't hit his ceiling on the speed and strength of his release and his accuracy, as well as his ability to scramble. If he hasn't, he could spend several years in the NFL.

If he has max'ed out, he would appear to have a great future in some other role in football: as a coordinator, a position coach, a scout, perhaps even eventually a head coach. Hard work ethic, outstanding student of the game. Leader. Winner.

As a ton of people have already pointed out having Jim Zorn as a QB coach will help a lot. Not really sure who the OC is since Wiess left. If it is Haley you are definitely going to need a buffer, he can be a bit of a nutjob at times.

Hope that Vandy is the same way.

For me the most important part of Stanzi's hawkeye legacy is that JVB got a chance to watch him prepare and study. Which in turn you hope JVB will pass that on to Derby or Rudoch(sp?), or whoever follows him.
