Is this trolling or just lame and stupid. They guy put in 3 or 4 years with the hawks, led us to some really good wins like at Nebby in '13 and got hurt in the process. beat Mich in a thriller, played well enough considering he was hamstrung by Greg Davis's 2 yard routes, etc and KF's conservatism like the '14 Wisky game.

The kid never wanted to be here and said as much. His own teammates called him out on not being tough, nor was he a leader. Drew Ott when asked how much of a team leader Rudock was said, “I have no idea. You’ll have to ask somebody else.” Other teammates said similar. He was a baby who left when things didn’t go his way.

Total antithesis of CJ Beathard. Who is a Hawkeye.

Well even I could see as a long time football watcher that CJB was the better qb. CJ Better runner, stronger arm, quicker release and able to make some amazing double clutch throws to throw the receiver open. 2014 was a tough year to watch as CJ played really well when he had to and when Rudock was hurt yet Rudock kept starting. I never thought the team ever turned on Rudock until maybe the taxslayer bowl which was a total team meltdown

It's Fry, take your pick or make something up.:D

We've seen that before.... Banks, Stanzi..... Fry had his controversy too. He had 2 great QBs to pick from back in the Long Days.

But it happens. Locally at HS we had a serviceable QB who started. His back up never did play and went to a U of IL camp and got a QB scholarship offer.

Oh ya, it was prior to them being really bad. Actually they were decent then. The guy never played there either..

I simply don't get this attitude towards Rudock. The guy thought he deserved to start at Iowa. He was wrong, CJ was better than him, but Rudock pretty much proved he was talented enough to start for other Big Ten teams by transferring to Mich and starting every game in a 10-3 season.

It was win-win. Iowa got the QB they wanted, who eventually was drafted in the 3rd round of the NFL draft. Rudock got the opportunity he wanted, which he eventually turned into being a backup QB in the NFL.

It's all good. Why is everybody still bitter about this? Because 2014 was wasted playing Rudock as the starter? Maybe Iowa could have won the west in 2014? Maybe, but that's all 5 years ago. Time to let it go.

You mean the guy who got the job when daddy threatened a transfer during an interview.

You're right, that's Heart-In-Iowa-City dedication...

So that new grad transfer O tackle we got from Indiana isn't a Hoosier, never was a Hoosier?

Welp, we're glad he's a Hawk now I guess.

Well let's see how he plays first. If he's no good, he's DEFINITELY a Hoosier. If he turns out to be great, then yes, he's a Hawkeye. :)
