Why is Michigan still in everyone's BCS Top 4

The easy answer is that they are Michigan...NO other explanation will do. If Iowa was #3 in the nation and lost a game gaining a total of 200 yards against a 4 loss team, we would without a doubt be out of the Top 10. Not saying that it wouldn't be justified....just saying that Michigan hasn't done shit for going on 20 years to be getting "Alabama" type respect!!!

It's complete BS! They lost to an unranked bad team and Washington loses to USC and drops more. The media has wood for Michigan that's the only reason. It's time to drain the college football swamp!

Who replaces them?

FYI: Iowa is not a bad team. Iowa is not a good team. In between bad and good is this wide swath called "average" of varying degrees.

There are only a handful of 0 or 1 loss teams. I don't buy the argument people give about when you lose.

The guys on Sirius Radio, College Sports Nation, got it right: "The loss was not a bad loss for Michigan. It was a Big Ten Conference game on the road in Kinnick Stadium, which is a very tough place to play, and against a team that has under performed this year. The atmosphere was crazy and Iowa just beat them." (Not really quotes, but paraphrased accurately)

But if it was Iowa, the national media would be saying "Thank God that's over"....and they may be right, HOWEVER, I think Michigan is every bit the pretender that we were last year....name ONE good offense they have faced this year? (They crushed Penn St, when they were banged up and a mess) OSU will crush them!!!

1)Aside from Alabama and Ohio State, who would you definitively have ahead of them?

2)Good wins: Wisconsin, Penn State, and Colorado. All at home, but that's two top 10 teams and another top 15.

3)Loss was on the road.

Right now, it's Alabama, Ohio State, some combo of Clemson, Louisville, and Michigan. Wisconsin, Washington, Penn State, and Colorado probably should be the next teams in line in some sort of order.

Michigan-Ohio State doesn't need hype.

It's Michigan-Ohio State
ok. Neither team was very good their for awhile and the luster was kind of wore off but with them both in the top 4 it'll definitely bring it to the forefront.

Looks like name recognition all over again.....

Michigan is among the top teams historically along with Ohio State, Alabama, USC, Nebraska and Notre Dame.....

This season whoever wins the Michigan-Ohio State game will probably go to the Championship Series. If Ohio State beats Michigan and Penn State wins their last two games, Penn State plays in Indianapolis, but even if they win, they will not be in the Championship series with two losses.....

I actually like Michigan at number 4, makes the Hawk Win look quite shiny.....

Wouldn't mind a Big Ten team in the championship series.....

Of course, this is simply conjecture, nothing else.....

They are still favored to win the conference. UW maybe no so much.
No, I do not think they are. Michigan will be an underdog at OSU. Losing that game will allow Penn State to play for the conference title should they survive their game with MSU this weekend. This will be a very interesting finish as it is looking like a Wisconsin/Penn State BIG title game is very possible! How cool is that ? Michigan and OSU, shut out of the title game two years in a row.

I like that.

Michigan will have their hands full with Indiana and in serious trouble with OSU. It will work it'self out.
