Looks like someone else already beat me to it, but I was going to say "Ask Lickliter". Guess he thought Brommer was a Big Ten talent despite the fact that Tubby apparently told Brommer to take a walk.

I guess you can ask Lick why he thought Archie was a Big Ten talent as well.

Lick recruited both of these guys.

Seriously? Archie has no clue most of the time. If it were not for athletic ability he would do nothing on the court. Brommer understands a little bit but can't control himself athletically and is always late reacting.
And Cole does not contribute that much over the course of the season to create a winning team. He busts his behind no doubt. And does everything he can but he his way outmanned everytime he hits the floor.He doesn't have the O skills to keep with anyone either.He has been put in a no win situation since he came to Iowa.

I really do feel bad for Fran. He is stuck with this crap roster and its going to be hard to get the guys he wants in here. I will never forgive Barta/Lick for this mess that they created. Its going to take longer than the 3 years that Lick got that's for sure.

Try watching the games. Brommer is always in the right position on defense. He helps out well and he has excellent footwork down low. He also blocks out and he goes hard for offensive rebounds.

The second Archie comes in on defense he helps late, doesn't get back, and the other team gets an uncontested dunk. It's pretty clear to see that Archie has no bball IQ.
