Why do we play Illinois 3 times?

Are my eyes deceiving me or do we actually have Illinois on the schedule three different times this year, including back to back games on March 8+9?

I see we also play Purdue in back to back games. Just seems like a really strange schedule...

The game in March will either be played on the 8th or 9th depending on which TV station will pick it up, not on both days.
