Why do crybabies immediately blame the refs after a loss?

We earned every pass interference call we got today. We also deserved all but 1 of the personal fouls we got.
The officials are not the reason we lost. We lost because we are undisciplined, soft up the middle on D, poor tacklers, unorganized on the sideline, don't understand kick-offs are live balls, etc, etc, etc....

The officiating was poor, but ultimately it's Iowa's own damn fault for even being in that position where one or two calls could make the game.

At least save the blame for when it's a quality opponent. Anything short of the refs throwing half the starters out of the game, there is no excuse to lose to CMU. They barely beat Southeast Missouri State at home, whoever that is.

Hawk fans have had the reputation of making excuses for their losses for YEARS. I think we're finally getting to the point of being able to legitimately see the existing errors, weaknesses, etc. and own up to it instead of blaming refs, blaming injuries, blaming hemorrhoids itching, whatever.

That all seemed to start under Fry, somehow. It was part of his psychology thing. He worked it on everyone, fans, opponents.. He got the fans to where they thought the team was so great that any loss couldn't possibly be poor play.. it had to be bad calls by the refs, etc.

It's not as fun to face truth, but it's a lot more dangerous to fail to recognize truth and just block out reality by blaming losses on refs instead of the fact that this team needs HELP.
