Is it worth having a larger turny if it just means more mid majors?

Do you think we are going to see the best basketball division 1 has to offer?

What are your thought is the turny better now with more teams? We have now had 2 yrs of selections.

Expand the play in games to a total of 32 teams, 28 more than now.

These 16 games you would play 8 games on Tuesday and play 8 games on Weds. The 16 teams that advance to play the Top 4 Seeds in each region.

This gives you an additional 14 teams to the current format.

At least this format would allow you reasonably call it the first round instead of play-in games. But teams are going to be snubbed every year regardless of the field size. Making it larger wouldn't solve the problem of teams left out, only the teams left out would be worse than before and the bubble teams would be worse than ever. Really there are a bunch of at-large selections that only have pipe dreams of tournament runs, thus shrinking the field wouldn't make much difference but would make sense.

If you want to see better basketball its simple - reduce the number of teams

64 was perfect...any expansion is solely for $$$ obviously
