I would take Vandy of last year over Jake. Jake this year hands down over Vandy. Vandy has set the new "LOW" standard for Hawkeye QBs to be judged by for the rest of time.

I'd take JVB. Imagine how bad JC6 would have been if he switched offenses mid-career and had to play for Derp Davis.

JC put up pretty good numbers at EIU who also had Tony Romo at one time. He beat out a 2 year starter that had decent numbers. I can't JVB putting up EIU numbers this year. What is really interesting is that I know one of the EIU receivers. He kept saying what an arm JC had. One of the gripes about JC was not enough arm on the outs. He put up better numbers against Penn State than JVB did this year and last.

Bottom line is that JVB had bad losses in filling in for Stanzi. He was 7-5 last year. Let's face it. With Iowa's non Con schedule, 7 wins is actually below mediocre and 8 is at best mediocre and in some years so is 9-3.
