He said earlier this year that he didn't think May brought much to the table. Man was he blasted by a lot of people on here. I can't believe he turned out to be right. Bring that guy back...I need some lotto numbers.

Wow how dumb some are. First it was Gatens when he was hurt. Now May is banged up so its his turn.

May brings a lot more to the table than Gatens. Gatens scored 20 because he can shoot better, but he gave up 30 points because of his crappy defense. No one did great last night. I May and Gatens are so much alike it doesn't help us out that much to have them on the floor together but that is where our program is at.
May can at least get to the basket and play some defense. The only thing Gatens does is shoot well.

I would like to see the guy who said May brings nothing go play basketball with an injured groin! I think it was proven rather conclusively that earlier in the year, prior to the injury, that May was the best player on the team!

May does bring some things to the table....
namely his athleticism and strength. But it's very obvious his groin has him playing at about 75%, if that. If May doesn't have his explosiveness, then he really is a fish out of water against Big 10 competition as his actual basketball skill set isn't tremendous.
No one should give up on May, he has a role. He was playing tremendous defense earlier this year when he could do the things he's accustomed to doing. Iowa should just sit him until he's healthy as what he's giving them now is next to nothing.
