The Hawk. He proved it... just not at Iowa. Ironically, Hawkins hit the NBA when he was 27. Pretty similar to Hubbard's potential timeline. Hawkins averaged 26+ points 10+ rebounds and almost 5 assists his rookie year.

Connie Hawkins, no doubt, he was the first Dr J, and would have quite possibly led us to at least one national championship. During his only year at Iowa, a friend of mine from DM was on the freshman team with him. He said that in practice Connie would dribble two balls downcourt at full speed and dunk both of them.
